there’s this thing called jet lag.
perhaps you’ve heard of it.
if not, let me say a few words about jet lag. ‘it sucks’.
ok, that was a couple of words. here are a few words, ‘it really sucks’.
the only thing that really bothers me about my schedule is my inability to get a good nights sleep. i’ve come to learn, over and over and over, that human beings can function, for months if need be, on little more than 3 hours sleep a night.
travelling around the world and playing and talking about music is wonderful. i have no complaints. but the lack of sleep does wear me down.
but i always say to myself that it’s better to be exhausted doing a job that you love as opposed to being well rested doing a job that you loathe.
i’ve seen far too many parts of the world at 6 in the morning.
when it’s sunny it’s not too bad, but if you’re in the north of europe in the wintertime at 6 in the morning after 2 hours sleep, well, it stinks.
boston this morning at 6 wasn’t too bad, for it’s clear and sunny and nice outside.
maybe i should lay off the crack. chasing the dragon definitely can’t be helping my insomnia/jet lag.
now it’s time for a fancy shower and then a day of radio interviews.
