a few years ago i got involved with the ‘institute for music and neurologic function’ at beth-abraham hospital, and tonight we had our annual fund-raising event.
it was a really special event, with the b-52’s and laura dawn and kris kristofferson and rufus wainwright and rich from the black crowes and marvin hamlisch and me and a whole host of other people performing(including some remarkable performances from trevor and j., 2 of the patients at beth-ab).
it’s a wonderful institute, and the work that they do is really inspiring.
