san francisco (marketwatch) — the federal government is proposing to withhold the brains and spinal cords of cattle that are at least 30 months old from animal feed in an effort to bolster safeguards against mad-cow disease in the food supply.
do you think that they’ll start labelling beef differently?

‘now with 20% fewer insanity causing prions.’
i can see it now. a man is in a fancy restaurant:
‘uh, waiter, do you have any brain fed beef? i’m concerned that my brain isn’t scarred and pockmarked enough, and i’m not feeling as beligerently crazy as i’d like to, so i’d like to up my prion intake.’
what’s best about the headline is that the government are ‘proposing’ to do this.
‘our house is on fire, so i propose that we consider buying a hose that might enable us to spray water and thus attempt to put out the fire.’
we vegans might not be able to do fun things like eat pizza in airports, but i’m happy that i probably don’t have to worry about insanity causing prions eating my brain.
