in miami now.
yesterday i did a q&a with michael paoletta from billboard as part
of the winter music conference.
so, thanks to michael and the wmc and the people who came
and asked great questions.
and today is ultra-fest, which has a really amazing line-up.
yesterday i was reminiscing about the first time that i played in miami.
it was in 1992, and i was playing a dance event at the cameo
theater(now crobar).
a few hours before the show i saw a flyer for the event and
it had me listed as:
‘moby singing their hit “ok”‘
my manager then spoke to the promoter and said:
“well, moby is an individual and not a group. the song
is called ‘go’ and not ‘ok’. and he doesn’t actually sing the song.”
ah, the good old days before google…
kind of like one of my early european singles that came
out as ‘ga’ by mob9.
now i’m going out try and find a vegetarian restaurant in miami.
