in a recent reuters article i was accused by the head of the republican national committee as being a ‘kerry operative’ trying to spearhead a dirty-tricks campaign against republicans.
i need to say very clearly that nothing could be further from the truth.
i have great respect for senator kerry and i would like nothing more than to see him elected as president in november of 2004. but i do not work for the kerry campaign and i’m not involved in spearheading any dirty-tricks campaign against republicans or the right-wing.
it is worth remembering, though, that the rnc have been behind some vicious ‘dirty-tricks’ campaigns against democrats(and even republicans, such as senator mccain in south carolina).
and it’s also worth remembering that george bush’s presidency has been so disastrous for this country that defeating him will only require telling the truth about what he and his administration have done during the last 3 years($1 trillion dollar deficit, 3 million lost jobs, the alienation of all of our allies, lies about reasons for waging war, sending american jobs overseas, billions of dollars in contracts for halliburton in the middle-east, and so on).
but i need to reiterate that although i admire and support senator kerry i do not work for his campaign and i’m not involved in any ‘dirty-tricks’ campaigns against republicans or the right-wing in america.
thank you,
moby
