wow, i almost feel badly for bush…
a new poll(ap-ipsos)revealed that not only are his general approval numbers abyssmaly low(38% at present), but his approval numbers have fallen precipitously among the people who comprise his base.
one year ago he had a 70% approval rating among republicans, whereas his current approval rating stands at around 48% among republicans.
i guess it’s just taken the republicans a few years to figure out what the rest of us have known all along…
overall 28% of americans think that gw bush is leading the country in the right direction, whereas 66% of americans(dems and republicans) believe that gw bush is leading the country in the wrong direction.
too bad the mid-term elections aren’t next month.
