have you ever spent any time with parrots? a friend of mine had a parrot who spoke english. not just repeating phrases, but actually speaking. identifying things correctly, etc.
i know, we humans think we’re fairly smart, and we have done some cool things, like invent dentistry and fly to the moon, but how many non-human languages do we understand? do we speak dog? or parrot? no. but yet parrots can speak english. which means that even though they haven’t flown to the moon or invented dentistry (which might not be needed if you don’t actually have teeth) they speak human and we don’t speak parrot.
so, parrots: 1, humans: 0.
