yes, i’m home and i’ve been remiss in my journal entries.
yes, you have every right to be cross with me.
i’m very sorry. we have an agreement here, and i’m not living up to my end of the deal. sorry. mea culpa, again.
i went to the gym today for the first time in 5 months.
oh boy am i out of shape. i guess sitting on your ass in hotel rooms for 5 months doesn’t exactly constitute as aerobic activity. entropic activity, more likely.
but now i’m home for 3 weeks and i’m going to get into fighting shape again. otherwise can you imagine what the upcoming tour would be like? ‘ok, hold on, everybody, just let me, catch my breath, before we, do the next, song…hey, is there any, oxygen, on the side, of the, stage?’ an out of breath musician is a lazy musician!
musicians should be able to run around like retarded monkeys for 2 hours at the very least. it’s our duty to be fit! we are here to entertain you! and an out of breath musician might be funny in a pathetic sort of way, but an out of breath musician is not quality entertainment as i understand it to be.
new york is awesome, by the way.
i love my city. i love my city. i love my city.
went for a walk today and i was reminded of how sexy and unique nyc is. everyone out walking around in their summer clothes, looking sexy. hooray for nyc with it’s hot summers and small and hot apartments. everyone lives outside in nyc. and that’s wonderful. come to new york and walk around. join in the sexiness. i do hereby vote nyc as the sexiest place in the world. how can you not feel sexy and sultry when you’re lying in the grass in tompkins square park and it’s boiling hot and humid and you’re looking at scantily clad people trying to keep cool?
i love tompkins square park. i saw the dog run today after being away for a while. it’s a bit stinky, but it’s still lovely. and the trees in tompkins square park…ah, glorious. the way the sunlight filters through the trees onto the grass is one of the most beautiful things in the world.
ok, it’s raining now. i can hear the rain on my skylights, and we all know that the sound of rain on skylights is one of the best sounds in the world.
i’m just full of superlatives today, huh.
