happy thanksgiving again.
i just went to see ‘let the right one in’.
not to indulge in hyperbole, but it is probably the best movie of the year.
i loved it.
a caveat if you’re thinking of going to see it: it’s a bit bloody, just in case you’re squeamish.
but it’s almost perfect.
there’s a scene at the end in a pool that is arguably one of the best things
i’ve ever seen in a movie.
i’m not sure who made ‘let the right one in’, but to whoever made it: thank you.
the world is awash in vampire movies and tv shows, some good and some bad.
‘let the right one in’ is holding up the ‘good/great’ end of the good-bad vampire spectrum.
what a perfect movie.
i clapped at the end.
well, to be fair i was the only person in the theater who was clapping, so maybe other people weren’t
as enthralled as i was.
and then on the way out i saw john noble(who plays walter bishop on ‘fringe’)and said ‘that was the feel good movie of the year’.
he laughed.
he’s great.
