ok, you know that the last thing in the world that i want to do is to get in the way of some good ole gw bashing, but i was a bit surprised to read that there were anti-war protests still going on throughout the world.
i mean, call me a literalist and all, but didn’t the war kind of end a little while ago?
or are they protesting the american occupation of iraq?
or are people just protesting against america?
i like the idea of protesting against things that have ended.
i’m personally going to start protesting to get those spanish imperialists out of mexico.
and isn’t it about time that the boer war finally ended?
and here’s a note to people who might be inclined to protest against george w. ‘my daddy’s friends made me president’ bush:
he’s done a whole lot of questionable things that are worthy of a good protest. i’m just not sure if protesting against a war that seems to have ended is such a good use of protest-power. but i could be wrong, so protest, just don’t be surprised if people scratch their heads in confusion if they see you protesting.
and i want the british to end their imperialist occupation of egypt.
