Journal / Good Night All Round

louise williams posted some photos of me at a benefit for the mccarton school.
this was a great benefit because:
a-the mccarton school does great work with autistic children.
and
b-i got to get my picture taken with jon stewart and al franken, both of whom are heroes of mine. if you live outside of the united states you might not know who jon stewart and al franken are. well, they are smart and funny men. and they are political pragmatists who are quick to point out the flaws and failings of the right-wing in the united states (of which there are many).
and jon stewart is the only late-night talk show host (well, he’s sort of a late-night talk show host) who’s actually funnier when the cameras are off (although he’s very funny when the cameras are on, too).
ok, that’s me being sycophantic.
the mccarton school benefit was very moving, because the mccarton school does great work. and i got to get my picture taken with 2 of my heroes.
so it was a good night all around.
