Journal / George Bush’s ‘Military’

wow, seeing george w. bush in his flight suit makes me think of his time during the vietnam war when he was in the texas air guards, you know defending texas against any squadrons of vietnamese fighter pilots who just might have gotten lost between da nang and saigon.
‘where are we captain?’
‘why, we should be near da nang, but somehow we’ve gone 8,000 miles off course and ended up over the great state of texas! oh no! saints preserve us! i hear that george w. bush is in the texas air guards! abandon ship!’
‘don’t worry sir, according to latest reports he’s gone awol for the last year, but he’s above being punished because of his family connections.’
‘wow, any normal person who went awol for a year would be put in jail, his family connections must be pretty strong. well, anyway, let’s fly back to vietnam and away from the ever vigilant texas air guard.’

oops, am i being cynical again?
or is it cynical to point out the truth about george w. bush’s ‘military'(and i do use ‘military’ in the loosest sense of the word when describing what george w. did during the vietnam war) service?
