Journal / Frustrating

small simple update.
how do we draw attention to the fact that sustainable, alternative energy sources are more viable and make more long-term sense than unsustainable and dirty energy sources?
more energy will hits the world in one day in the form of solar and hydro and wind power than has been used by humans since the dawn of history.㊠and it’s all free.㊠and it’s all just sitting there.㊠and it’s all wasted.㊠well, almost all of it.㊠there are a few solar panels and wind farms.㊠why do we continue to dredge oil out the earth (in extremely dangerous and nasty places that thus negatively influence western foreign policy by the way) when the vast majority of our energy needs could be met easily by alternative energy sources?㊠it’s just absurd.㊠serious r&d spending in solar, hydro, and wind power would yield energy that is cheaper and cleaner (and less politically and diplomatically destructive) than oil and nuclear.
it’s so frustrating.
all of this energy just going to waste while we dig deep in the earth to get energy sources that are profoundly destructive.

why did osama bin laden attack the u.s?㊠because american troops are in saudi arabia.㊠why are american troops in saudi arabia?㊠to protect our oil interests there.
it’s frustrating.
i have no problem with capitalism except when it leads us into situations (like our reliance upon foreign oil) that are so fucking stupid and illogical.

i can understand that certain things need gasoline.㊠airplanes, etc.㊠but so many other things (cars, buses, home heating, air conditioning, lighting, etc) could be powered from non-petroleum sources if only the r&d money were available to make these non-petroleum sources more viable.
like i said, it’s very frustrating.
