ok, in quoting george bush as saying:
“”you know, we want to harm america.””
-george bush, meet the press, feb. 8, 2004
i’m taking what he said out of context, obviously so, because i think it’s funny that the president of the united states through his garbled syntax said, and i quote: ‘we want to harm america.’
i think that george bush might have actually had a little freudian slip in saying this, that’s why i took it out of context.
and what’s wrong with taking things out of context if doing so is entertaining, huh?
ok, plenty can be wrong with taking things out of context.
it is worth remembering, though, that al gore never claimed to have invented the internet, and the republicans took his innocent jest out of context and hounded him with it.
nor did john kerry block legislation attempting to stop the spread of communism, as the right-wing have said recently. john kerry just voted against illegally selling guns to iran to help illegally finance the contras.
one of my favorite spectator sports is watching right-wing types getting bent out of shape by being on the receiving end of things that they’ve been doing for years.
you’ve got to admit, it’s pretty entertaining…
and to end this journal entry i’d like to remind everyone that the president of the united states said:
‘we want to harm america’
don’t you agree that’s a funny thing for a president to say in any context?
i still maintain that it was a freudian slip.
