Journal / Flying Home

sorry it’s been a few days since i’ve written.
we were in greece, and although the hotel was very nice, the internet in my room wasn’t exactly working.
oh well.
now i’m flying home(a brief 10.5 hour flight from athens to jfk), and i’m assuming that my internet at home will be working and that you will, thus, be reading this.
45 minutes until we land.
thanks to everyone who worked on the european tour that we just finished.
thanks to my band and crew and thanks to the drivers and thanks to the promoters and the agents and the managers and the people at the management companies and the people at the record companies and the caterers and everyone else.
it was a great tour, and, as usual, the vast majority of the work was done by the people who get the least amount of the credit.
so thank you.
and thank you to everyone who came out to our(‘our’ meaning ‘everyone with whom i work and me’)shows.
i’m excited to be going home. i’m excited to make dinner in my kitchen and sleep in my own bed.
it’s funny how travelling around the world makes me miss the mundane stuff at home that most people take for granted.
and i’ll be back in europe in november, so i’ll see you then(and in the meantime i’ll be in milwaukee and chicago this weekend, then australia and taiwan and japan and south america and possibly the uk again and we’ll see after that).
thanks,
moby
