star trek.
i guess that’s all i have to say for today.
the original star trek, especially when it was crazy and psychedelic and hopeful and full of aspiration.
i think that now we live in sad times where popular culture represents commercial compromise instead of the great aspiration towards making the world better and more interesting.
i’m bored of cynicism.
and i’m really bored of mercenary media.
and i’m bored of countries and cultures defining themselves through sports and manufactured pop culture.
what happened? where did we go wrong?
eh, i’m naive and idealistic.
two terrible liabilities, especially now.
whatever happened to a viable youth and counter-culture that defined its ideals through music and art and literature and film and whatever means of communication that were available to it?
like i said, i’m naive. and idealistic.
go ahead, flame me. i deserve it.
