what are your thoughts on fake meat?
i know a lot of vegetarians and vegans who love fake meat and an equal number who hate fake meat.
i guess i’m in the former catagory. i haven’t eaten real meat in 20 years(no bovine spongiform encephalitis for me, thank you very much), so when i eat fake meat i’m not pretending that it’s real.
i don’t even remember what real meat was like.
i just like fake meat cos it’s savory and chewy, not cos it’s meat-like.
this is a longwinded way of saying that i’m a little bit addicted to the gardenburger riblets.
they are vegan and they are fantastic.
i’ve never had real ribs, so i don’t know if these taste like real ribs. but they are savory and addictive.
i’m cooking some right now.

i hope that somebody someday invents good vegan cheese.
that melts.
that’s all i ask for in the world of vegan foods.
ok, fake-rib time.
if i weren’t a vegan i would probably weigh 400 pounds and have rock-hard sclerotic arteries.
