i’m writing in a collective ‘we’.
we(band, crew, me)are exhausted.
just. so. tired.
the schedule for the last few days has been completely exhausting.
but watching 10,000 people each night jumping up and down to ‘lift me up’ makes it worthwhile.
really.
that’s not just a show business cliche.
but we’re so tired.
new levels of tired.
we were comparing lack-of-sleep stories.
laura said, ‘i’ve had 9 hours of sleep in the last 3 days’ to which steve said, ‘9 hours! you’re lucky!’
i’m incredibly indebted to the people with whom i work, bandmates and crewmates(i don’t know if ‘crewmates’ is a word).
now we go back to the bus tour and our own equipment and a slightly more civilized schedule.
not to humorlessly complain, but i honestly feel literally poisoned with exhaustion.
not to be melodramatic, but if you’ve had a good nights sleep recently i think that you should recognize just how lucky you are.
there are many things that fill our lives that we routinely take for granted, sleep being one of them.
g’night.
