(reuters) the tobacco industry made more than $8 million in campaign contributions in the last election, with 83 percent of the money going to republicans.
just keep it in mind…you’ll see. john ashcroft (remember him? one of the scariest fucking men in the united states government? and our attorney general?) has proposed that the u.s government ‘settle’ with the tobacco companies. and wait, he’s from a tobacco producing state? ugh.
it’s just so depressing.
so let’s have a partial recap…
hmmm…alaskan wildlife reserve being opened for oil drilling?
cessation of funds for overseas family planning groups who provide abortions?
dismantling on-the-job health and safety standards?
proposals to build new nuclear power plants?
decimating the budget for aids research?
decimating the budget for alternative energy research and development?
etc? etc?
and now this…
these conservative republicans are evil, evil people. i know i’ve said that before, but i’m reminded of their evil almost every day. count your blessings if you live outside of the u.s.
and if you live in the u.s…don’t forget their evil ways when it comes to the next election.
