Journal / Dry Wit

oh, p.s,
when i wrote about the ww2 memorial i didn’t say that albert speer was designing it (he’s been dead for a long time now), i said that i found it ironic that it looked as if it was being designed in his signature style.
i also didn’t say that this was a bad thing, just ironic.
once again my lighthearted attempts at dry wit have irritated some of you.  oops.
moby

p.s-for what it’s worth i do think that the great failing of the proposed ww2 monument is that, aesthetically, its kind of uninteresting.  especially when compared and contrasted to great works of public art like the vietnam memorial and the st louis arch.
that’s it. no big deal.
