so tonight we played in skandeborg, denmark.
the festival organizers call their festival ‘the most beautiful festival’.
and well, i’m tempted to agree.
the festival takes place in a setting surrounded by huge trees. it really is a beautiful site. with a big lake, too.
and it certainly has to be the most eclectic festival in europe. performers included me, robert plant, tatu, zz top, and lots and lots of danish acts, among others.
and now i begin a long day of travel…
drive 4 hours to the airport.
fly 3 hours to spain.
fly another hour to the airport closest to the festival in spain.
then drive an hour to the hotel. leave the hotel in denmark at 9 a.m, and arrive at the hotel in spain at 11pm, hopefully.
ok, it’s not so bad. it’s just that in order to make the flight to spain we have to wake up pretty early to drive the 4 hours to the airport.
i shouldn’t complain. because on monday i get to go home, god willing.
i enjoy performing live. and i enjoy the company of my band and crew. and i enjoy meeting people and seeing places. but i’m really looking forward to a long period of time wherein i’m not living on the road.
i’ve pretty much been on tour for most of the last 4 years, and that’s a lot of time to be living on the road.
and i’m looking forward to a break.
no complaints from me, but i’m looking forward to a break.
thanks
