a book was released recently wherein it was posited that donald trump is a crummy businessman and that his net worth is around $150 million, and not the $2.5 billion that he usually claims it to be.
so, of course, donald trump is suing the writer and publisher for $5 billion dollars.
is this a harbinger of the apocalypse?
when people are upset because they’re accused of having a net worth of $150,000,000 instead of $2,500,000,000?
i mean, when you’re worth more money than you’ll ever be able to spend, well, isn’t that enough? or more than enough? or egregiously more than enough?
to put it into perspective, if you spent $100,000 a year it would take you 1,500 years to spend $150,000,000.
even if you spent $1,000,000 a year it would take you 150 years to spend $150,000,000.
it also reminds me of why the bbc no longer bans records.
they realized that the moment they banned a record that everyone would want to rush out and buy it.
doesn’t donald trump know that by suing the writer/publisher for $5,000,000,000 that all he’s doing is ensuring that the book sales are going to go up?
now everyone’s going to want to know what sort of book could pique donald trump’s ire, and will thus run out and buy it.
donald trump has given the writer and the publisher better free publicity than they ever could’ve dreamed of.
money is weird.
