this is an update for the people who’ve waited in line for the dj tent at area:one and haven’t been able to get in. i’m really sorry.
i’ve tried to do all that i can to remedy the situation, and i’m sorry.
the tent holds 2,500 people. it should hold more, simple as that.
we’re still trying to figure out a way to accomodate more people for the remaining shows, but it’s proving to be very difficult what with local zoning laws and sound restrictions.
i have been told that we might have a solution for the remaining area:one shows.
but it’s possible that this year we will have to make do with the frustrations of having a dance tent that’s too small (although most people would be surprised to find out that a tent that holds 2,500 people is too small…i guess they underestimate the appeal of good dance music).
i’m hoping that we’re going to do area:two next year, and i’m hoping that we’ll have a dance tent/stage that can accomodate more people.
this festival is, in many ways, a first year experiment. but with that in mind the glitches have been relatively minor, and the overall event has been wonderful, at least from my perspective. you have to know that when you’re doing something for the first time that there are bound to be some snafu’s.
we are listening to your comments and we are trying to accomodate them.
