cos, technically speaking, divorce(which 45% of all marriages result in)is much more of a threat to the sanctity of marriage than same-sex marriages, no?
and isn’t it odd that conservatives talk about the ‘sanctity of marriage’ but yet most conservative heroes, such as ronald reagan and newt gingrich, have been divorced?
my perspective is that if consenting adults want to get married then fine, let them get married.
and if consenting adults want to get divorced then fine, let them get divorced.
i hope that at some point we live in a country wherein consenting adults are allowed to do whatever they so choose so long as they don’t impose their beliefs or actions on other people.
