i went to the chelsea hotel tonight to meet some friends.
have you ever been to the chelsea hotel?
i think i might move there, it’s such an amazing place. o. henry and thomas wolfe and dylan thomas and claes oldenburg and arthur c clarke and william s. burroughs all lived there at one point.
at the very least i would love to get a tour of the chelsea, for unlike other hotels every room at the chelsea is different, and there are lots and lots of long term residents.
i’m not schilling for the hotel, i just find it to be such a fascinating and unique new york landmark. even from the outside it looks so ominous, so big and clad in wrought iron.
maybe i’ll move there and make friends with the crazy russian emigre’s who make borscht and reminisce about the days before the october revolution…
