Journal / Cheerful

have i been lazy with my journal entries as of late?
if so, mea culpa, i’m sorry.
i guess that i’ve been busy, but really i have no excuse.
and it’s not much point going into the things that i’ve been doing, because it’s nothing that you haven’t heard before… you know, scrabble and hookers, that sort of thing.
ok, no hookers, but plenty of scrabble.

i’m such a pathetic geek, i even printed out the list of acceptable 2 letter words. of note:
‘ky: cows’, ‘mm: exclamation of satisfaction’, ‘qi: chinese life force’, ‘xi: a greek letter’, ‘xu: a vietnamese coin’, ‘zo: a himalayan yak/cow (also spelled ‘dzo’ & ‘zho’), and so on.
and don’t forget ‘qat’. it’s a word.
enough about scrabble.
and on to the weather.

it’s beautiful in nyc. enough said. we’ve got the outdoor seating at teany set up (with this really cute bench with some yellow cushions, wait, am i really waxing rhapsodic about a cute bench with yellow cushions? yes. it’s true. and it is a very cute little bench. for scrabble and hookers.).
in fact i’m going to go sit outside in the sun at teany and read the new yorker and eat some oatmeal and drink some peach juice.
and my studio seems to be up and running again (we installed a bunch of new hard & software and there were a bunch of glitches, but now things seem to be working smoothly), so i can actually start working on music again, which is what i love to do.

sorry if i sound so cheerful. i know that the world is falling to shit, but it’s a beautiful day in manhattan and i’m going to go and eat a nice breakfast outside (on aforementioned bench) and then spend the afternoon in my studio working on music.
so forgive me if i sound so cheerful.
