well, the reason that i changed the splash page is to remind people that george bush jr. is not doing a very good job as president.
this has nothing to do with republican vs. democrat, it has everything to do with our flawed president and his flawed administration. i don’t care about george bush and his party affiliation. if he were a democrat he’d still be doing a bad job.
it bothers me that people’s party affiliations and loyalties oftentimes blind them to a politicians character and accomplishments. i wonder how the republicans would deal with bush if he were a democrat…
he was the captain of his schools cheerleading squad.
he’s a draft dodger.
he almost failed out of college.
a former drunk and coke fiend.
a beneficiary of his dad’s largesse and nepotism.
he’s slaughtered the american economy.
taken more vacation time than any other president in recent memory.
has more indicted criminals in his inner circle than any other president in recent memory.
he’s alienated our allies.
started a war under false pretenses.
etc.
if george bush were a democrat the republicans would, rightly, accuse him of being one of the worst presidents that this country has ever had the misfortune of enduring.
it frustrates me when peoples political affiliation prevents them from seeing a politicians true colors.
ah well, at least in 2 years he’ll be thrown out of office, at least as long as he keeps up the bad job that he’s been doing. i’m glad to see that even ‘regular’ americans are starting to see him for what he is, an inept president who exists solely to do the bidding of right-wing conservatives and corporations.
if you’re a republican, that’s fine, but take a step back and actually look at what george w. is doing for (and to) the united states.
by all means retain your party affiliation, but at least admit that george w. is doing a very bad job as president.
