Journal / Cable Disconnected

so it’s 8 a.m and your cable has become disconnected…so what do you do?
well, if you were in the a.v room in high-school like i was, you climb onto the roof and thread a guide-line cable from the cable box to the point where it enters your apartment and then you secure the guide-line to the disconnected cable and then precariously perch on the edge of the roof and pull up the guide-line and cable and then reconnect the disconnected cables.
in the snow.
when i first dropped out of college i spent some time installing night-club sound systems. this might sound like a sort of glamorous job, but crawling around in the crawlspace of a nightclub during the day isn’t glamorous, it’s actually pretty disgusting(dirt, rats, pigeons, roaches, etc).
and installing sound systems leads you to very quickly learn to hate wires and cables.
but today was ok, even though shielded co-axial cable is the most annoying of all of he cables/wires, cos it is so inflexible.
and trying to cut and reattach co-ax is also a big pain in the ass.
and working in the snow makes your fingers cold.
ok, i’ve had my blue collar reminiscence/whine for the day, and the cable’s reattached so everybody’s happy.
