Journal / Buddyhead

so it’s buddyhead that’s put my email address on the interweb?
oh.
ah well, kind of makes life interesting, actually. i get some random hate mail as a result of this. but i’ve been receiving a lot of really nice emails, too.
so thanks buddyhead. as a result of putting my email address on the internet you’ve helped me to receive a bunch of really nice emails.
i’ve changed my day to day, personal email address, but i still look at some of the emails that go to my old, now public, email address.
a warning to buddyhead, though. i’m a pacifist and i would never try to retaliate for your hateful actions towards me. honestly, i’m kind of flattered that you would go to such lengths to let people know that you don’t like me. but if i were you i would be careful about who you antagonize, cos apparently everyone (apart from me, cos i’m ignorant) seems to know who you are. i mean it when i say that i would never attempt to retaliate. but in all seriousness i think that you should be careful with other musicians, public figures, etc.
the internet provides a lot of hateful people with a great degree of anonymity, which is distasteful but ok, i guess. but when everyone knows who you are you might want to be careful about doing hateful and antagonistic things towards people.
like i said, i genuinely try to live by the virtues of pacifism and forgiveness.
that might sound silly to you, but it’s true. but be careful, cos not everyone aspires to be as pacifistic and forgiving as i.
and just as you make an effort to hurt people that you dislike, the people that you dislike might make an effort to hurt you.
so be careful. the internet can only be a vacuum of anonymity for so long.
