hi.
i’m here in new york city for 14 minutes. nice to be home, albeit for a brief little period of time.
i was told that some of you are concerned at my ‘breaking stuff’ tendencies… well, i don’t break things too often (twice in the last 2 years, actually). and, not to dispel the myth of the petulant musician, but i only break things that are already broken….
the keyboard that i savaged in detroit had given up the ghost. so i was merely indulging in a bit of rock antic theatricality. and ‘crashy’ the computer died before i jumped up and down on it. but it was very satisfying. oh that computer was the bane of my existence. my new ibook is so much more reliable.
so we did this mtv show, ‘fashionably loud’ last night. interesting, playing ‘south side’ while models stroll around. funny premise for a show, huh. the highlight for me was playing cover songs for the tiny audience while they were testing lights, etc.
and they had a free photo booth machine, which is pretty cool.
ok, off to san diego.
