so last night i went to boston and performed at a benefit for senator john kerry who is, as many of you know, running for president.
i played some cover songs with my friends daron and laura and the boston band popgun7, and then i introduced senator kerry and he gave a brief speech and then he played a cover song with the band, as well (senator kerry is a very good classical guitarist).
hearing senator kerry speak reminded me of why i’m supporting him and why he should be the next president of the united states. he’s very bright and very experienced and very thoughtful and compassionate, all of which are qualities that are sorely lacking in our current president.
so, thanks everyone for coming to the fund-raiser, and hopefully we’ll be able to meet in boston in 2004 and do the same thing after senator kerry is elected president.
