Journal / Book Club

wow.
i was just reading in the news that the current recounts in florida are indicating that al gore definitely won. well, ‘definitely’ insofar as they can tell.
that’s interesting, huh.
i don’t want to write about politics anymore in my updates, but i did think that bringing that tidbit of news to your attention was somehow worthwhile.

apart from that…umm…actually i don’t have much to say. the days are kind of all blurring together, pleasantly though, i must say.
i just spend my time working on music and occasionally going out with friends, so one could very easily say that my life is pretty dull. although i do love staying home and working, and for me that’s far more exciting than just about anything else that i can think of.
and the sun keeps coming up earlier and earlier, in case you were wondering.

and i went out to a dinner party tonight and everyone was talking about tv shows that i’ve never seen (‘the sopranos’, etc), so i think that maybe i’m going to have to get cable tv so that i can feel like i’m a part of contemporary society.

isn’t it funny that no one ever seems to talk about books? i guess that’s cos very few people read the same books, whereas tons of people from similar socio-economic backgrounds tend to watch the same tv shows.
i guess that explains it.
maybe we should start a book club so that we can talk about books.
i like books. they’re slow like me.
