to clear up some confusion, the song ‘beautiful’ is supposed to be
simple.
it’s a song that was inspired by our collective obsession with simple
but attractive
celebrities, and in particular our obsession with celebrity couples.
on one hand ‘beautiful’ is a simple and sweet love song, but when
i wrote it i kind of had this vision of 2 very simple but attractive
celebrities
sitting across from each other at dinner congratulating
one another on how attractive they were.
just thought i’d clear this up.

now we’re in tarvisio, which is beautiful.
completely surrounded by beautiful mountains, right near the borders of austria and slovenia.
and i just took a nap with the windows open and woke up with the sun setting over the mountains and this beautiful wind coming off of the mountains and through my windows.
it’s hard to not be relaxed here.
and now we’re supposed to go and perform in the town’s piazza for a ‘no borders’ festival.
‘no borders’ is a nice idea.
i feel like a sipleton today, but that’s ok cos it’s so beautiful here.

what a beautiful day.
even though have this stupid cold/flu, it’s still an amazingly beautiful day.
windy and cool with big clouds being blown around.
amazing.
