did anyone else find it interesting or ironic that the boston (home of john kerry) red sox beat thest louis cardinals at busch stadium last night?

i’m not weighing in on the possible outcome of the world series, but it did seem kind of interesting.

and nothing against st. louis, but my great-grandmother was a huge boston red sox fan, and every time there was a game she would put on her red sox hat and sit by the radio or the tv and listen to or watch the game.

so as much as i like the city of st. louis i do have to say that, for my great grandmothers memory i do hope that the red sox finally win the world series again…

last update before the weekend blackout….

i almost never write about sports, but i need to say a little something about thursdays ball game.
i need to say: woo-hoo.
i hate to sound petty, but i’ve been smiling all day because of last nights baseball game.
how fucking exciting, and i almost never watch sports.
who knows if the yankees will go on to win the world series, but i have to say that if they do it will be very much appreciated by this humble little new yorker(aka-me).

a victory parade down broadway (if the yankees win) would be really welcome in the bigapple.

have a nice weekend (and i certainly don’t mean to offend any fans of the arizona baseball team whose name i can never remember…)
