i wanted to let you know that on saturday, april 17th moveon and i will be hosting a bake-sale at teany from noon-3pm.
that’s right, a bake-sale. a humble, little bake-sale.
we looked at the right-wing in america throwing $2,000 a plate fundraising dinners for george bush and we thought that having a bake-sale might remind people that the united states is still a democracy, and what better way to express the grass-roots nature of our democracy than by holding a bake-sale.
so even if you’re on the atkins diet come down to teany on saturday and buy a cookie or a muffin and show the world that grass-roots democracy is alive and well in the u.s.
