ok, i stand corrected…
there is at least one fantastic animal shelter in nyc.
the b.a.r.c shelter in williamsburg is great.
i was out there today and i came home with 2 beautiful dogs.
a boy and a girl dog, and they love each other.
so it would seem as if my days of pristine, minimal, bachelorhood have come to an end (good riddance…), now that my arms are covered in dog slobber and my house has the faint but distinctive aroma of dog pee (i will eventually learn how to train them to pee and poop out of doors…).
i seem to have gotten very lucky, finding a wonderful shelter like b.a.r.c and finding these two amazing dogs who just play. and then play some more. and then when they get tired of playing they wind down by playing.
oh, the b.a.r.c shelter are having a halloween party on november 1st. if you can, you should go out and support them.
