so we at teany are introducing a new menu.
as of today, february 3rd, because we are addicted to change and improvement (it’s what comes of being punk rockers in high school, we’re restless…) there are going to be some changes at teany…
we’re losing some things from the menu (the middle eastern plate, toasted soldiers, etc), and adding new things (crostini with savory vegan spreads, 3 focaccias with teany marinated olives and infused oils, a whole bunch of kick ass sake drinks, and this star-trek inspired 3 tiered tea special…).
and we’re adding a whole bunch of new cold drinks.a citrus cooler. a green tea cooler. some new iced teas. and what we call our ‘teany speedy cooler’, which is basically a nice refreshing spearmint drink with legal speed ingredients (guarana, ginsengs, and some black tea and ginger…).
we’re also introducing our ‘late night romantic special’ cos we want to see people making out on rivington street…our ‘late night romantic special’ is comprised of 2 champagne drinks and 2 chocolate deserts, all of which are well known aphrodisiacs…(if you make out in front of teanyyou get a discount).
the sake drinks are actually quite amazing (and i don’t really like sake, so for me to say they’re amazing is really saying something).
we have a ‘plum ginger sake drink’ and a ‘peach infused sake drink’, and my favorite which is our ‘apple infused sake mint julep with muddled mintleaves’.
all hail the new teany. it’s like the old teany. but better (if you’ll forgive me for immodestly saying so…). and more liquid. we also got a whole bunch of new beers and wines. including pbr, cos kelly and i are fans of ‘blue velvet’ (the david lynch movie, for those who don’t know the cinematic cultural significance of pbr). and although we disapprove of frank (well, to an extent) we also think that his drink choice is kind of sexy.
