so, one month after the attack on the wtc we get the following report:
(reuters) a report by toxicologists at the company, hp environmental inc. of herndon, virginia, said laboratory tests from samples collected sept. 21-28 showed the destruction of the buildings “”created an asbestos fiber size distribution not previously encountered.””
among the hundreds of thousands of people who live or work in the area, there have been reports of sore throats, tongue lesions, burning eyes and ears and skin rashes.
almost 5 weeks later and now they’re telling us this?
i’ve had respiratory problems and skin problems for the last month and now they’re telling me that there might be a health problem?
i’m angry and scared. the local news has told us about traffic problems and flag shortages in local stores, but nothing about the fact that hundreds of thousands of people(including my friends and i) have been exposed to extremely toxic chemicals, including asbestos, in the air.
so their new advice is to go out and get a hepa vacuum and mop down your house to pick up particles. good advice. why the fuck didn’t they mention this at any time during the last month? why hasn’t the news spent any time covering issues that are of relevance to the health of the hundreds of thousands (possibly millions) of people who live in or around downtown manhattan?
