Journal / Area 2 / Tour Excitement

why do my neighbors have a ceramic owl?
and what is it looking at?
is it to keep away the smaller birds?
is it a scare-bird of sorts?
are my neighbors farming something that they need to scare away the birds?

i've been listening to ash this morning. it's reminded me of just how excited i happen to be to have them on area2. for those of you who aren't familiar with ash, well, they're great. they make great records and they're a really, really wonderful live band.
i can't believe what a cool and interesting line-up we have for area2.
just take a moment to think about it….
david bowie (oh my goodness, the most legendary musician in the world)
me (inbred, old, and no one listens to techno anyway, right?)
busta rhymes (probably the most inventive mc of all time and an amazing performer)
blue man group (the most interesting and compelling off-broadway performance i've ever seen. those who've seen their show know of what i speak.)
ash (a great rock band. great records. great live performances)
carl cox (a legend)
digweed (a legend)
tiesto (younger, but on his way to becoming a legend)
avalanches (crazy and cool and interesting and they make great records)
dieselboy (my favourite drum-and-bass and jungle dj in the world, and i first met him in a car in pittsburgh in 1992.)
what a cool lineup, if i do say so myself.
i'm a proud little festival organizer. one thing i have to say about area2, get there early, cos you really don't want to miss ash or dieselboy or tiesto or the avalanches or blue man group. every act on area2 is great. you don't want to miss any of them. trust me on that, ok?
and for those of you who don't live in places where area2 is coming, the lineup that we have for my solo shows is pretty wonderful, too, with azure ray and dirty vegas and paul oakenfold for some shows.
i'm excited to start touring. and right now i have to bathe and then go to rehearsals.
