have you been following the ‘republicans having sex and/or electronic sex talk with congressional pages’ scandal?
it’s great.
what makes it triply great is:
a-the republican congressional leadership have known about it for years.
and
b-the republican congressional leadership are now trying to blame the democrats for the fact that the public have learned that there are republican pedophiles and sex predators.
and
c-fox news tried to make representative/pedophile foley a democrat, when in fact he is and always has been a republican.
it’s a decent scandal that has just been made better and better by the republicans trying to do everything in their power to avoid blame and responsibility.
i haven’t had a good anti-republican rant for a while, so here’s a brief one:
the republicans are hypocritical and inept and unethical and have done an abysmal job
in running the country.
i’m not saying that the democrats would do much better, but it’d be hard to see how
they could do any worse.
mid-term elections coming up. iraq degenerating into civil war and costing taxpayers $2 billion a week. most leading republicans under indictment or investigation for a wide range of violations. north korea testing nuclear weapons 5 years after the bush administration labeled them a part of the ‘axis of evil'(no failure in diplomacy there…).
it would seem that the election is, as the expression goes, the democrats to lose. but the democrats have been known to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory before, so we’ll see what happens.
oh, in other news, as a favor to robert smigel(aka-triumph the insult comic dog) i’ll be performing with the losers lounge as the house band at this sunday’s comedy central autism benefit.
