and it’s done….22 months of touring and it’s all finished. over 300 shows, and i have to say that this last concert of the tour was a nice way to end things.
we performed earlier at edinburgh castle which was, apart from being very cold, really beautiful. new years eve in edinburgh is a pretty special thing, listening to 500,000 people singing ‘auld lang syne’ was actually very powerful, especially the part about ‘drink a cup of kindness, dear’. although i’m not quite sure what a cup of kindness is, it sounds nice and hopeful.
i have to say thank you to everyone who came out to our concerts. thank you thank you thank you (repeated for emphasis).
and i have to say thank you to the people who’ve travelled with me all of this time:
scott frassetto
dan hardiman
steve walsh
greta brinkman
dick meredith
spinbad
r.j
dianne charlamagne
snakey
luton
kevin weyremechek
ray
the chi 2 strings
joseph
craig underwood
and all of the other people who were a part of this very long and really nice tour.
now the strange part is going to be to go back to nyc and try to remember what it’s like living in a home that doesn’t have wheels and bunks.
i’ll write more later, but i’ve got to go and fly away home.
