a quick update that is also a list because i love lists.
1-i still can't believe i got to sing 3 joy division songs with peter hook and the light on wednesday. and i still can't believe that i get to sing 3 joy division songs with peter hook and the light tonight. if you had come to me when i was 16 years old and said 'at some point you'll sing joy division songs on stage with peter hook' i never, ever would've believed you. so, thank you.
2-next week we'll have a VERY INFORMATIVE announcement about the next single. or singles. as it's 2 songs ('after' and 'the right thing'). and it's hard to refer to something as a 'single' if, in fact, it's comprised of 2 songs. so, a double. but that sounds weird. so a 2 song single. with all information next week. like: remixes, videos, free things, etc.
3-yesterday's l.a wildlife sightings near my house: 2 large deer with lots of antlers (i guess these are bucks?). 2 coyotes. a hawk. countless lizards. a rattlesnake. a funnel web spider. 4 bunnies. l.a is the weirdest city in the world. is there another giant city wherein people hang out in pools being spied upon by coyotes and lizards? i feel bad for the bunnies, as there are so many things here that can eat them (and no, that's not a reference to anything playboy related, i'm talking about actual tiny rabbits).
4-my friend paul miller (dj spooky) had a conversation with the economist yesterday (i'm jealous, as i love the economist) and martha stewart randomly came backstage afterwards to say hi. here's a picture:
