Journal / a new york times/cbs news poll released today…

a new york times/cbs news poll released today stated that gw bush’s general approval rating has plummeted to 31%.
in the last 50 years only 2 presidents, richard nixon(during his impeachment trials)and jimmy carter(when the hostages were taken in iran) have had lower approval ratings.
one interesting poll result: only 13% of americans approve of the way that gw bush has handled the absurd escalation of gas prices(absurd for many reasons, one being that the former ceo of exxon received, on average, a daily salary of $166,000.00. yes. daily salary of $166,000.00. and he was an old friend of bush and cheney and a big supporter of the republican party.).
gw bush and dick cheney both used to run oil companies. and oil prices are at an all time high. and we needlessly invaded a country that has the world’s
2nd largest oil reserves. huh, go figure.
and the country with the worlds largest oil reserves is saudi arabia, who have long standing and troubling ties with the bush’s and the cheney’s.
oh, the majority of the terrorists on september 11th were from saudi arabia.
but we never investigated the saudi’s, we invaded iraq.
although none of the terrorists were from iraq and iraq had absolutely no involvement with al qaeda(even bush and cheney eventually admitted this).
i guess that americans are finally waking up to the fact that we have an inept president who started a needless war that so far has cost $1,000,000,000,000.00.
too bad it’s taken americans 6 years to realize what the rest of the world has known for, well, for 6 years.
that george w. bush is without question the worst president our country has ever had to endure, and that the war in iraq is the biggest foreign policy disaster in the history of the united states(yes, worse than vietnam, especially when you consider the way in which it’s impacted our standing in the world community and the ways in which this administration have violated long standing treaties such as the geneva convention).
the bush administration is done. over. finished.
republicans now see bush as an embarassing liability.
our only hope is that the democrats re-take the house and senate in november and begin impeachment and criminal proceedings against bush and his administration.
