2 war related things.
1-as of today 2,500 american soldiers have been killed in iraq. tens of thousands of american soldiers have been wounded. and hundreds of thousands of iraqii’s have been killed and wounded.
all of this for a war that never should have happened.
it’s always worth remembering:
a-there was no connection between iraq and what happened on september 11, 2001.
b-there were no weapons of mass destruction in iraq.
c-there was no connection between saddam hussein and al qaeda.
d-the war has cost $700,000,000,000.00 dollars so far.
e-the majority of casualites suffered by u.s troops happened after gw bush said ‘mission accomplished’ and ‘bring it on’.
it’s just such a stupid tragedy, that u.s soldiers and iraqi civilians are suffering and dying needlessly.
the war never should have happened.
in other news, the republican house has passed house resolution 861.
it states that ‘the united states will prevail in the war on terror’.
what’s next, a republican resolution stating that the united states will prevail in the war on cancer?
isn’t it kind of a given that all politicians should be working to prevail in the war on terror?
does congress have so much time on their hands that they can draft arbitrary resolutions that essentially state the obvious?
the republican congress are a bunch of worthless scumbags.
they have the blood of thousands of people on their hands and all they can say is, ‘we support the war on terror’.
they should get on their hands and knees and apologize personally to the friends and family members of every person who’s been killed or wounded in the war so far.
or, better yet, they should all resign en masse out of shame and contrition.
