ok, driving to houston.
or to be accurate, slowing down somewhere between austin and houston.
sitting back here in my little room on the bus.with my eyelids drooping.
i guess i should go to sleep.
tonight’s show at the austin music hall was hot.literally. very very warm. one of those shows where i had to stick my head in an ice bucket after we finished. although sticking ones head in an ice bucket after performing and sweating for 2 hours isn’t very smart, is it.
i love performing. the show is long, but i want to make it longer. more cover songs. more songs from 18. more jugglers. with the juggling. more magic tricks. more dancing elephants.
2 hours is a pretty long show, i guess, by contemporary concert standards. some day i want to do a 3 hour long show.
i’ll warn you in advance.
i have to say, if you’re coming to one of my shows in the next couple of weeks (before area2 starts), you should try to get there early to see azure ray and dirty vegas. azure ray are the two women who sing on ‘great escape’ off of 18.
they are lovely, personally and professionally.
ok, goodnight.
i’m going to succumb to my sandy eyelids.
