Journal / 2 Hours Left

and now flying home…somewhere over canada, about 200 miles north of montreal. or more. it’s dark. but were it not dark i’m sure that i would see snow as far as the eye could see. but it’s dark. and i’m feeling a bit shattered from our end-of-tour-outdoors-in-december-dancing-until-6a.m-in-glasgow-party.
so, 2 hours of sleep and 2 planes and whatnot have made my eyes feel very sandy.
but it was fun. well, a lot of fun, actually. a good time was had by all insofar as i could tell. and, as a word of advice, ‘country life’ and/or ‘stranded’ by roxy music are absolutely perfect records to listen to when flying home and feeling shattered after a long tour and having had only 2 hours sleep in the last 36 hours. just fyi.

i do have to say thank you to all of my band and crew who have worked so hard for the last 5 months. and thanks to all of the people who have come out to our shows. thanks everybody.
only 2 hours left on this flight, and then i get to drive home and sleep in my nice little bed. well, barring plane crashes and car crashes and whatnot. i’m not being morbid, i just don’t want to be so utterly presumptuous (however it’s spelled) as to think that just because i’m en route to nyc means that i’ll actually end up in nyc.
and this way if i do end up in nyc i can be pleasantly surprised.
