tonight’s little death show was really odd and interesting. and good, i thought (although i’m biased…). the show was improvised and figured out on the spot. which made for both good and bad chaos. luckily more good chaos than bad chaos, with some really wonderful moments, like when aaron proposed to his girlfriend (now fiancee) and she accepted in front of everyone in the bar.

sometimes a well rehearsed and well planned show with great sound and a nice stage can be great. othertimes an un-rehearsed and un-planned show with impromptu sound and no stage can be great in its own way. a little bit of chaos in a hyper-structured world can be nice, or so i believe. unless it’s in an airport. or an operating room. then i guess it’s nice to have some hyper-structure. but a chaotic blues show in a bar on the lower east side can be endearing in its own right.
