you might know that he’s threatening to filibuster health care legislation. using a filibuster means that he can stop the senate from voting, even though the legislation would most likely pass with the democratic majority if it weren’t filibustered. one senator, in this case joe lieberman, can shut down the legislative process. is joe lieberman contradicting himself? you decide, as these are some quotes from joe lieberman about the filibuster:
