just got back from performing for 60,000 people at werchter.
oops, i forgot the 'i'.
i just got back from performing at werchter.
supposively it was my 7th time playing there?
really?
is that possible?
well, in any case it was really fun and the audience was fantastic.
there are few things more exciting than seeing 60,000 people
jumping up and down in unison.
in other news:
saturday(today), i'm dj'ing at a little club in paris. i don't know if
it's an unannounced dj gig or not. well, i guess now it's announced.
i think it's at the showcase club.
and, being ignorant, i don't know when i go on. late?
midnight?
midnight's not so late.
and then playing live at belfort sunday night and then dj'ing VERY LATE at
kaufleuten in zurich at 3 a.m sunday(which is, technically, monday).
i have some other upcoming live and dj things, but i don't know what they
are, exactly, so i'll hold off in writing about them.
i'm going to go and eat spaghetti now and lament the fact that when i come
to europe i'm crippled by insomnia.
have a good weekend, and see you soon.

I was one of those 60,000 and I really enjoyed your show - again. My mates called it 'a medley' instead of remixes, but I tend to disagree with them because a medley would be a remix as well.
But this one thing keeps bothering me.. did you really play in Werchter in 1995?
Belfort
Hey
I want to say THANK YOU for your wonderful concert. You truely made me touch the stars and fullfil a dream, i've always wanted to see you live, it was the best concert to finish the festival.
So thanks again, keep up the great music and attitude. And i agree Feeling So Real is probably the best trance song =)
Oriane (a friend of Kyoshiro, a top model i believe you met in NY, but who passed away. The world's a small place and life goes by too quickly.)

Moby i've got one thing to say: AMAZING !
I had a realy great time x
werchter
it was my first time at werchter and my first time seeing you performing live.
in fact, this one was the best live of the festival and by far one of the best I've ever seen. Just cant believe such an atmospheare can be created in few seconds and last for two hours.
hope to see you soon again in Belgium. Would not miss it!
thanks so much!
thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you
Hi Moby
I couldn't go to the 4-day festival of Werchter this year... but the day of your concert, I couldn't handle it anymore, I bought a last-minute ticket and after work I took the car and went to Werchter, as soon as I could.
It was amazing... I enjoyed every single second of your work and the amazing voice of the singer. It was one of the best evenings of my life (so far).
I wish you all the best and hope to see you soon!
Bye
Tom
Big in Belgium
Indeed, Moby remains very big in belgium (pun not intended).
An extended version of 'Disco lies' would sell big over here: just about every DJ I know is looking for something like that. Sadly, it does not exist.
On a slightly negative note: I was really dissapointed about the way Moby's people treated the press at his album presentation in Culture Club (Belgium) recently. Eventhough I'm an accredited journalist, run a popular nightlige webzine and a huge Moby fan, and inspite of thousands of flashing compact cameras, I was not allowed to take a single picture with my pro gear. What was that about?

You ruled at werchter
Yes, It may well be youre 6th or 7th time at werchter but youre last gig on the main stage dated from 2003!! You blew our mind then and this friday you did the same! Hope to see more often in belgium!
Cheers

Moby, thanks for Showcase dj'ing:)
Just got back from your concert @Showcase in Paris:) Uaaauuu!!! Totaly amazing. Great music. Great stage performance. Fascinating!
I consider myself to be a very, very lucky guy since I originate from Croatia, and was nonetheless able to see you live and dance to your dj'ing. Two months ago I was thinking how it's not very likely for me to visit New York in any near future. And there you were - splitting the distance and I thank you for it. Your music means really a lot to me.
And finally, thanks for the photo with me:) I really appreciate your down-to-earth, normal-kind-of-person attitude. I simply love it.
Hope to see you once in Croatia.
Keep up with good work and good life!

I want to see you in a small club in Paris!
Hey Moby, I'm moving to San Sebastian, Spain in August, any chance you'd play a small club there?
This helps me with European insomnia
See if you can find the equivalent of ESPN and hope that there is some sort of petanque tournament going on. There's something about the repectful, hushed narration and the lack of activity that does it for me.

Since we're posting random and unrelated to 60,000 and that french Fred is so lucky as to haphazardly run into Moby deux fois and has a significant other, let me put this out there. You can send it right back...why not do dj donation for my hometown's green association. I am in New Orleans right now and Brad Pitt could have at least set up a recycling plant: for jobs, for the planet. Tons of plastic, glass, cans, they're tons of drunks in the quarter for goodness sakes. Sell the plastic to China! They pay top yen for water bottle p.e.t. It's exasperating, "there's no recycling in New Orleans, sorry." Yeah because you guys aren't trying and Brad Pitt is lazy. Sorry I'm burning up my little sidekick's keyboard since my mac got stolen, thanks for that too by the way, Bywater. But I still love the place and their green project is cool, but San Clemente green is gonna squeeze the reality outta Orange County. With your help I want to open a carbon neutral cafe, vegan and all OK call me. Laters

paris showcase, NYC smoking bar and the wonders of hazard
Hi Moby,
(I apologize if it is not the right place to post this message.)
A little story to share, not the most exciting but...
My wife and I have had the chance to meet you in a very cool smoking bar in NYC (I think it was in the night of sunday-monday the 25th of May). You were accompanied by a very sympathetic woman too (maybe your wife?). I think most people in this bar including us were a little bit drunk or something like that. I offered you a drink but you declined it very politely (this was for the interested fan: moby is polite even when harassed by fans and a little drunk). We were in this bar by mere hazard (people we've met in nyc were very nice and full of good recommendations in terms of bars ;-)) and meeting you was even more of a singular thing for us.
Anyway, today I'm discovering Miles Dyson (it is never too late) and see that you've played him at EDC L.A.
So I go on your webpage to look for some more news about you and see that you are playing tonite in a small club in Paris!! It is the first time that I visit your website (sorry, i should have done it before...) and again hazard-life-chance is here! One day later and I would have missed that concert...
Well, I guess I'll see you tonite again then :-) But I don't think I'll have the chance to thank you again for the great music that you are sharing with us.
Have a great show!
Peace
fred
Live:remixed
Back from Werchter. Great performance, great music for massive crowds. I'm recovering from 100 minutes of non-stop dancing, jumping and pumping. When are you back performing in Belgium ?
It was unbelievable and I
It was unbelievable and I recommend everyone to go see moby live:remixed if they can!!
