just got back from dj'ing at edc in l.a.

just got back from dj'ing at edc in l.a.
kind of amazing, in that it was essentially an underground party for 70,000 people...
without question one of the best and most impressive dance events i've ever
been to, and i really hope that everyone who went had as much fun as i did.
thanks to everyone who came to the edc and made it a really amazing night.
i might need to sleep for a long time now.

I some how found Moby

EDC....wowww... I wandered off into a crowd of ppl took a few turns and curves and found myself stepping into Moby's set which was absolutely amazing. Cant wait for the next show in LA :]]

Absolutely mmmmmmmm...

Your set was ridiculous in the sense that you were generating some of the most epic sounds my ears have ever devoured. Words straight up fail me. I had a wild time, and your presence really did it for me. Basically, THANK YOU!

I would love to see you performing at EDC again. It would definitely justify my attendance.

Will you have another dj set in L.A. or around that area anytime soon?

what a wonderful night

Just wanted to say thank you for your set. It was the highlight of the best party I have ever been to. peace.

OMGMOBYOMG

The set of music you played at the EDC was amazing (we were 40 feet from the stage in the middle). It was my first time hearing you DJ a set of music. I've seen you several times in concert (Area2 festival, on tour for the "18" CD) and every time I'm always blow away by how enthusiastic and incredible you are. The DJ side of Moby is every bit as great as the full concerts (but I did miss your sense of humor and your audience interation and "all Moby" music). But it was so great to see you get so into the music that you had to leap from the decks and so cool to hear what YOU like to DJ and how we all connected for the two hours you were at the decks!! They even lit the Olympic torch during your set! What a great night of MOBY magic! Thanks! RDNVENICECA

What A Treat to See You

Moby,

My boyfriend turned me on to you four years ago and you have become a BIG part of the soundtrack to my life. You have this amazing ability to capture massive amounts of emotion in a song and make it accessible for the listener. You are willing to be open and honest with yourself and it shows. When i heard you were playing at edc i didnt think twice about going. My friends werent so sure and they didnt think you would be that great. While you were playing they turned to me and said "G you were so right on about this guy... Moby" Its like they rediscovered you. We walked around to get a closer look, cause i wanted to see what this person who meant so much to me now looked like in person. Every place we walked to there were cats screaming "MOBY ROCKS" "OH MY GOD THIS GUY IS GENIUS" and when i got close to see you i understood. It was like you were listening to us, to our energy and were playing off that, playing off what we were feeling. I heard some guy in the crowd turn and say to his friend "Okay dude, where ever this guy is playing i'm there" and i thought wow another fan and now he'll you tube you and see how much more there is to your music How exciting! and i bet thats the case with many thousand more people... Anyway, You Rock more than just my body, you rock my mind, my spirit and my life. Thanks.

Nice pics

Nice pix. Can see damn Coliseum and our hero_s. Big thanks.

definitely would like to get a piece of LA sound !! What's like?

ups

wow

Honestly, it was better than Oakenfold. I have seen you about five times now I think you keep getting better each time. Well worth the wait! Knowing how "provincial" you are, it was great to see you in L.A. again! I was upstairs and I think everyone around me was rollin'. Damn, I was jealous but your set was really great, Moby.

oh poo!

This is the second time I've missed Moby in concert! First, I got tickets to Area 2 with David Bowie, and this time I was trapped under the giant arch with the torch on top when Mo was on stage. It was an amazing event, but Moby was one of the main reason I wanted to go! i guess the third time will be the charm.

Moby fuckings owns

It took me three hours to actually get into the damn Coliseum but once Moby came on it was stars and sparkles. I was dancing in the upper levels of the stadium but I still felt I had the best seat in the house; Moby was ridiculously on point, as he is every other time I've seen him. His set made every excruciating minute in fucking LA traffic totally worth it; I danced for five hours straight. The pills helped, but I don't think that detracts from his overall awesomeness.

I pray to god that Moby makes another visit to LA because I am too fucking broke to get out to NYC

saturday

THANK YOU!!

Your set was Mind Blowing.Thank you so much for an unforgettable night.

awesome

To be honest when I first heard that you were on the setlist, I didn't think much of it. But you completely tore the place apart. From what I gather from other people you were definitely the biggest surprise and the highlight of the night. Way to go, I hope you come back to LA again...THANK YOU

Your dj`ing

Well, i understand you as...let`s just say, as some kind of colleague. Bad, that i can`t see your live performance because of distance. But, well, i`m not about it :)
Deep bow for your work, and, by using chance and your journal entries, interested by three questions.
First: Your opinion about your music on YouTube?
Second: What inspired you or what event was before creation of track "Extreme Ways"?
Third: What your opinion about capitals post-USSR countries. You maybe heard this question from our journalists, so if you want, you could answer..

P.S: Nice blog, especially when it only yours :)
P.P.S: I didn`t expect your answer, because "We Are All Made Of Stars" :)...joke, of course.I understand that work of DJ`s are brainmelting...maybe someone of your fans :)
Deep bow

It was INCREDEBLE!

Oh believe you me, you played possibly the best DJ set I have ever personally experienced. People were definitely having a good time. Thank you so much for creating an incredible experience well worth the ticket price. And hopefully I'll get to play in front of 70'000 people someday. (Living off of top ramen and staying up till 3 in the morning making music because I have to work all day has to pay off at some point haha) =D
